Wynyard Quarter winters day out

It was a rainy, windy, but occasionally sunny Auckland day today, so we didn't let that stop us going for a trip to the new development on the Auckland viaduct. After Jacksons swimming lesson, we went straight to the Viaduct as we were meeting Tara at 11.30. The weather didn't stop others either, it was packed! We found a good place to park up and have coffees and fluffys and photos - see pictures of me and the boys attached! They were both bundled up in their winter woollies. We then went to the Fishmarket and had fish and chips for lunch which was superb. Soon we had two very tired boys, so it was time to head home for afternoon naps.

belly laughs

Thursdays are my time with Blake as Jackson is with our Nanny in the mornings. I have spent this morning throwing a little yellow ball up and down and making funny noises....
Yesterday Jackson, Blake and I were sitting on our bed having a ball skills session (aka a silly game I made up that we can all play together without too much chaos). Anyway, Jackson was momentarily on the floor picking up the ball he had thrown very high, and I had a few moments with Blake and I was throwing the little red ball in front of him and making noises and faces - anyway, amidst all that he did his first real laugh. It was the cutest belly laugh, and the more I threw the ball and made faces, the more he laughed. Until Jackson was back on the bed again.
So, today, I have been trying to get another laugh!

sleep

We all woke at 7am on Monday morning!! Quite a big deal, as it was the longest that Blake has slept from 7pm to 7am (I would officially call that sleeping through!), and it was Jacksons first night in his cot without the sides, without dramas! A big sigh of relief on that one! Early days yet on both counts ... more to come on that I am sure
